How we handle your data

Privacy
policy.

The short version: we only collect what you submit through forms, never sell it, and use analytics to make the site easier to navigate. The long version is below.

Croatia Yachting (operated by Cusmanich d.o.o., Vrboran 37, 21000 Split, Croatia) takes your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and the rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Who we are (Data Controller)

Cusmanich d.o.o. is the data controller for personal information processed via croatia-yachting.com.
Address: Vrboran 37, 21000 Split, Croatia.
Contact: info@croatia-yachting.com.

What we collect

  • Inquiry forms. When you send an inquiry, contact request, or yacht-specific offer request, we receive the name, email, phone number, and any notes you choose to share. We use this strictly to reply with a quote and continue the conversation around your charter.
  • Server logs. Our web server records anonymous technical data — IP address, browser type, timestamp, referring page, and pages visited — for security and performance monitoring. These logs are kept short-term and never sold or shared.
  • Cookies. Essential session cookies keep the site functional; optional analytics cookies fire only after you grant consent (see below).

We never sell, rent or exchange your personal information. We share inquiry data only with the partner charter agency for the specific yacht you asked about — and only once you decide to proceed to a booking.

Cookies and tracking

We use a three-tier cookie consent system: essential (always on, site can't function without them), analytics (Google Analytics — opt-in), and marketing (reserved; currently no scripts load). You can review, change, or withdraw your consent at any time on the{' '} cookie settings page — toggles take effect immediately, no reload needed.

Google Analytics

When you grant analytics consent, we load Google Analytics 4 to collect anonymised usage statistics: which yachts get viewed, which destinations resonate, where the site is slow. Data is transmitted to Google (US) under their{' '} privacy policy{' '} with IP anonymisation enabled. We never link this data back to any inquiry you've submitted.

Your rights under GDPR

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you (Article 15);
  • Rectify inaccurate data (Article 16);
  • Erasure ("right to be forgotten" — Article 17). Soft-delete + anonymisation are live across our systems; reservation records stay for legal/tax retention but are stripped of identifying fields;
  • Restrict or object to processing (Articles 18, 21);
  • Data portability — export your data in a structured format (Article 20);
  • Withdraw consent at any time — for cookies via{' '} cookie settings, for inquiry processing by emailing the address above;
  • Complain to the Croatian Data Protection Authority (AZOP — azop.hr) if you believe we're mishandling your data.

To exercise any of these rights, email{' '} info@croatia-yachting.com{' '} and reference the right you want to invoke. We reply within 30 days.

Data retention

Inquiry data is kept for two years from your last interaction (long enough for you to come back for a follow-up booking), then anonymised or deleted. Booking records are kept seven years to meet Croatian tax and consumer-protection obligations. Anonymous analytics data is retained per Google Analytics defaults (currently 14 months).

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our processing changes — most recent revision: 15 May 2026. Material changes will be flagged via a banner on the site; minor wording updates will appear here without notice.
